The Future Food Factory OWL is an ERDF-funded project establishing a cutting-edge food production research facility at the Innovation Campus Lemgo. Combining Industry 4.0 and food technology, it serves as a hub for developing and testing new technologies, products, and processes—bringing together expertise in automation, sensory technology, data processing, and more.

Spanning 1,500 square meters, the facility features modular production plants, coworking spaces, and training areas designed for researchers, startups, and industry experts. Its transparent design, with a visible foyer and workshop, reflects its commitment to openness and collaboration.

TH OWL President Professor Jürgen Krahl highlights the factory as a milestone in Industry 4.0 for the food sector, while Vice President Professor Stefan Witte emphasizes its national significance in digital food technology research. The Future Food Factory is set to drive innovation beyond regional borders.
