Our consortium

The SIXFOLD consortium originates from the established Thematic Smart Specialisation Partnership (TSSP) Smart Sensors 4 Agri-food (SS4AF Partnership), building on a successful history of collaboration at regional, national, and European levels. With experience in operating within a quadruple helix (4H) ecosystem, the SIXFOLD partners are well- equipped to drive innovation and foster transformation in the agri-food sector.

The consortium’s expertise is further enhanced by its active participation in EU-funded projects stemming from the SS4AF Partnership, such as Food-scalEUp and HIGHFIVE. This continuity ensures a solid foundation for achieving the goals of SIXFOLD.

Comprising six diverse partners, the consortium brings together a robust mix of 4H actors to address the interdisciplinary aspects of the already existing Operational Handbook of the network of Living Labs. The partners were strategically selected to ensure broad geographic coverage across Europe, reflecting varying yet complementary levels of innovation development.

From the outset, the SIXFOLD consortium is embedded within a strong network of agri-food and technology-focused Living Labs, companies, (regional) authorities, regulators, and other 4H stakeholders. This collaborative framework enables SIXFOLD to effectively bridge gaps, share knowledge, and create impactful, sustainable solutions for the European agri-food industry.
